About me

Alfredo Schclarek Curutchet is Associate Researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council, Argentina (CONICET) and Assistant Professor at the National University of Córdoba, Argentina, where he teaches macroeconomics for undergraduate and PhD students. In addition, he is Academic Director of the Center for Participatory Research in Economic and Social Policies (CIPPES). He has published in, among other journals, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Financial Stability, and Journal of Macroeconomics. During 2018 and 2019, he has been Ford Foundation Visiting Research Fellow at the Institute of New Structural Economics at Peking University, China. Alfredo holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Lund University, Sweden. He also earned a Masters and a BA in Economics from Lund University. He worked at the European Central Bank, Germany, the United Nations, Denmark and the National Agency for Investment Development, Argentina. He has won several awards including the Prize "Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the Year 2007," Cordoba Stock Exchange and Economic Research Annual Award 2007, Category: Young Professionals, Central Bank of Argentina.

Alfredo Schclarek Curutchet es Investigador Adjunto en el Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET) y Profesor Adjunto en la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, donde dicta materias de macroeconomía para estudios de grado y postgrado. También es Director Académico del Centro de Investigaciones Participativas en Políticas Económicas y Sociales (CIPPES). Ha publicado en, entre otras revistas académicas, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Financial Stability, y Journal of Macroeconomics. Durante 2018 y 2019 ha sido Ford Foundation Visiting Research Fellow en el Institute of New Structural Economics de Peking University, China. Alfredo es Doctor en Economía por la Lund University, Suecia. Allí también obtuvo un Master y una Licenciatura en Economía. Trabajó en el Banco Central Europeo, Alemania, las Naciones Unidas, Dinamarca y la Agencia Nacional de Desarrollo de Inversiones, Argentina. Ha obtenido diversos premios, entre ellos el Premio "Diez Jóvenes Sobresalientes del Año 2007", Bolsa de Comercio de Córdoba y el Premio Anual de Investigación Económica 2007, Categoría: Jóvenes Profesionales, Banco Central de la República Argentina.
